In honor of VETfund’s theme of Havana Nights, I’m going to share a link about Cuban female artist Carmen Herrera who sold her first painting at 89 years old, is now shown in the Tate. After years creating alongside her male contemporaries, but refused show exposure for being female, Carmen came to enjoy the rewards of never giving up on her work.
