My friends,
In light of the pre-show art preparations that have been going on, I am afraid the blog has suffered from some neglect. The My View From 1502 art show is now hanging, in and around, the Renaissance Center. The art covers a substantial portion of wall space. It took approximately 6 hours of non-stop tasks to complete the hanging and labeling. I owe a debt of gratitude to James, Shaun and Cassandra for their hard work.
Being organized is the key to a large project such as this. There are many details that are easy to overlook, and many important ones that should not be skipped. I will be glad to answer any questions if someone is interested in the developmental stages.
Seeing my art layering wall surfaces, one after another is hard to verbalize. The sense of accomplishment and fulfillment were significant. My art provides a tangible and visible testament to my triumphs and failures through out this project. This insight to me and my art for the past year is exciting, dramatic and frightening.
Below, you will find a few pictures that are were taken yesterday. I have also shared a link to a video I put together for out oldest daughter who can not be with me for the show. If you care to watch it please feel free, but please note there are a few uncensored comments from my family and self. No offense is intended. We were tired, sore, hungry people.

Congrats for getting it all done, Valerie! I'm sure it will be a huge success. Wish I could see it in person – but I'm off to see the video! Hugs! Nancy
