Nature is impersonal, awe-inspiring, elegant, eternal. It’s geometrically perfect. It’s tiny and gigantic. You can travel far to be in a beautiful natural setting, or you can observe it in your backyard -Gretchen Ruben
I have stressed and fretted for the last few days over actually beginning this LITTLE 5×7 sketchbook. Oy Vey!!! The dumb things artists do to themselves when they can’t get out of their heads!

I’ve been eyeballing these watercolor paint pens and I decided to splurge for this book project, I like them! I’ve used them in creating this first installment. I am not a watercolorist by any means, and I admit that I’ve used my iPad and digital pencil for a long time now. But, I like these pens very much, and using the raw material is a nice change. The story has begun now in the book so come back to check for updates, more words.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention a new painting, she’s begun as a bit of a glamour girl…
Peace, Valerie
