As we head into the July 4th holiday season I’d like to share some show updates/info with you:
I’ve been asked to continue my exhibit with Common Grounds Cafe another month. Yay! I will be retrieving a couple pieces that have been accepted to Rockfish Gallery and a couple have already been hung with RVA. I will replace them with newer pieces of work. The show will hang for a while.
If you’re in the Nelson County, Virginia area, the community center is turning into a thriving hub, right off of what is known as Brew Ridge Highway (or 151 going toward Charlottesville) they have converted an old school into businesses, shops, Trager Bros. coffee house (Local coffee), and of course the Rockfish Gallery-where I’ve been invited to hang a few pieces of work for sale. This area is along the foothills of The Wintergreen Resort.
(That ought to be enough links to get you interested and up to speed)
The Riverviews Artspace 5th Biennial Community Show is opening July 5 for First Friday. Unfortunately, I will not be in attendance for this event. I’ve seen the show, it looks awesome!!
In the near future, I’m doing an event with my Dog & Cat coloring books in conjunction with Cattywampus at Lynchburg Humane Society (a fund raiser). Come color with cats! (And me) I will share more info soon. I’m working on another couple projects too I’ll hopefully be able to share too!
Finally, and just to see if you’re paying attention, here is a sneak peek of what I’ve put back on the easel ((again)). This time… yeah, some good things are starting to happen.
Peace, Valerie
