November Update:
November—here already?! Why, yes indeed. There are officially only 49 days until Christmas. Our social media accounts teem with Creators hawking the perfect instructions for creating the perfect holidays and purchase all of the “must haves and must dos”. Convincing us all that we will be seen as failures otherwise.
These ideas and concepts show one after another other in our media feed-wrapped in pretty, shiny wrapped packages and twinkling promises being foisted upon us the quicker we scroll. Until, we find ourselves wallowing in a self inflicted defeat.
I AM a big fan of the holidays, decorating and the food. Don’t get me wrong—I have always loved the holidays— BUT, I too struggle with everyone else who wants to orchestrate an elusive golden ornament. I too, fight with deciding where and how to draw the line on the stress and pressure and be okay with what I want to accomplish.
As I gain more life experience (aka getting older 😜) and life changes—my goal nowadays is adapting and creating new experiences and traditions for our life. Expectations are less important and experiences are much more significant.
Art News:
With this in mind—I will be continuing to create artwork, but, I will not be hawking my work as avidly as in past. I want to create a more relaxing holiday season. One that pleases and brings joy. Of course— I am open for commission work as always I look forward to hearing from anyone who needs to connect, art or gifts.
